Canadian Youth Internship

The Federal Public Sector Youth Internship Program is sponsored by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, (partnered with the YMCA), wherby youth may apply for internship opportunities for Canadians aged 15 – 30 years old.

A Federal Public Sector Youth Internship is an assignment providing youth (high school and post-secondary respectively) practical experience.  The program is aimed at youth who need it most; “…[setting] a full 50% of the internships for youth who have not completed high school or face multiple barriers to employment, 30% for high school graduates and 20% for youth who have graduated from College or University.”

Youth programs, such as this one, are valuable for developing skills, gaining on-the-job experience, learning from a mentor, setting career goals and motivation about employment and futures of the participants.

Click here for current Internship Opportunities (hint: leave the form blank and just click search at the bottom of the page to see all available internships).

Internships also look great on a résumé!
